President Moon “The right to vote for confirmed and quarantined persons must be guaranteed”

President Moon Jae-in has ordered that people with COVID-19 and those who are self-isolating have the right to vote.

Blue House spokeswoman Park Kyung-mi said in a written briefing today (8th), “President Moon said at a staff meeting that among confirmed cases and self-quarantine, the right to vote should be guaranteed.”

President Moon then ordered that the relevant institutions confirm the plan being prepared as soon as possible so that there will be no disruption to the people’s exercise of their right to vote, Spokesperson Park added.

With the presidential election voting day approaching a month away, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 has surpassed 30,000, which is interpreted as meaning not to affect the presidential election.
