Ursa Bogatai (Slovenia) won the gold medal in the women’s ski jumping event at the 24th Beijing Winter Olympics.
Bogatai won the women’s ski jumping normal hill event held at the National Ski Jumping Center in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, China on the 5th with a total of 239.0 points in the preliminary and final rounds.
In second place Katarina Althaus (Germany) with 236.8 points and Nika Kriznar (Slovenia) in third place with 232.0 points.
Sara Takanashi (Japan), who holds the record for the most wins with 61 wins at the International Ski Federation (FIS) Ski Jumping World Cup, finished 4th with 224.1 points.
Takanashi finished 4th at the Sochi Olympics in 2014 when it was in its heyday, and won a bronze medal in Pyeongchang in 2018, which started to come down little by little.
He tried to get rid of the Olympic gold medal in this competition, but failed to qualify for the medal in 4th place.
