Lee Sang-ho, 9th place in the Snowboard World Cup parallel competition… 1st overall ranking


Sang-ho Lee, ‘Baebae Boy,’ the symbol of Korean snowboarding, ranked 9th in the International Ski Federation (FIS) Snowboard World Cup Men’s Parallel Competition.

Sangho Lee lost to Nevin Galmarini (Switzerland) by 2.64 seconds in the round of 16 of the 2021-2022 FIS Snowboarding World Cup Alpine Men’s Parallel Competition held in Zimonege, Austria, and did not advance to the quarterfinals.

In this match with 64 players, Lee Sang-ho, who passed third place in the preliminary round, once again inflamed the possibility of entering the medal, but lost to Galmarini, who was 14th in the round of 16.

Lee Sang-ho has won 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal in 7 World Cup competitions this season.

In the overall ranking of the combined parallel competition and parallel rotation season results, Lee Sang-ho is still in first place with 434 points.

Stefan Baumeister (Germany), who won this competition, closely followed Lee Sang-ho with 406 points.

With this tournament, Lee Sang-ho finished all his World Cup schedules before the Beijing Winter Olympics next month.

Lee Sang-ho, who won the silver medal in the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic Parallel Games, is challenging for the Olympic medal for the second time in a row in Beijing.
