Villa manager Gerard Aston tests positive for COVID-19 2 EPL matches missing

Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard of England’s professional football team has tested positive for COVID-19 and has missed two Premier League (EPL) matches.

Aston Villa announced on the club’s website, “As manager Gerrard tested positive for COVID-19 and is in self-isolation, he will not be able to participate in matches against Chelsea and Leeds United.”

Aston Villa will play a home game against Chelsea tomorrow (27th) at 2:30 a.m. Korean time and then play an away game against Leeds United at the same time on the 29th.

Gerrard, who served as captain of the Liverpool and England national teams in the Premier League as a player, moved to Aston Villa last month after leading the Scottish Rangers.

Aston Villa are ranked 10th out of 20 teams with 22 points (7 wins, 1 draw and 9 losses), having won 4-2 in 6 regular league matches since Gerrard took over as manager.
