The lowest temperature in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do was 10.3 degrees below zero, a record low for the first time in 16 years.

The lowest temperature in Dongducheon, Gyeonggi Province, was minus 17.3 degrees Celsius, the second lowest on record.

The temperature will rise from noon on Monday the 27th and return to the normal level on Tuesday the 28th.

Heavy snow warnings have been issued for northern Jeju and Sanji, Jeollanam-do (excluding Heuksan Island), Muan, Mokpo, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo.

Heavy snow advisories have been issued for Jeju-dong and Nambu, Gochang and Buan in Jeollabuk-do, Yeonggwang, Jindo and Hampyeong in Jeollanam-do, and heavy snow warnings in Jeongeup, Jeollabuk-do.

In the mountainous regions of Jeju and Dokdo, Ulleungdo, snowfall is expected to be 10 to 30 cm.
