Prosecutors indict executives of patent search service companies for ‘unqualified patent attorneys’


Representatives of Korea’s No. 1 patent search service company were handed over to trial on charges of assessing the possibility of patent infringement without the qualifications of lawyers or patent attorneys. The 12th Criminal Division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office announced on the 26th that it had indicted without detention on the 24th, a patent search service company, CEO B, and three executives for violating the Attorney Act. Company A manages intellectual property rights, such as patents, trademarks, and designs, against individuals and companies.
