Kim Hee-jin of the Industrial Bank of Korea in the women’s professional volleyball team recorded the most votes for both men and women in the All-Star fan voting.
Kim Hee-jin was selected as the K-Star Team All-Star with 113,448 votes in the online fan voting for the 2021-2022 V League All-Star Game announced by the Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO).
Kim Hee-jin beat Lee So-young (Ginseng Corporation, 92,77 votes) by a large margin and recorded the most votes in the women’s division, which is also the most votes in the men’s division.
Korea Electric Power’s Shin Young-seok (99,502 votes) took first place in the men’s division.
Kim Hee-jin is currently ranked 12th in scoring, 11th in blocking, and 3rd in quick attack so far this season.
Heungkuk Life veteran libero Kim Hae-ran received 76,462 votes and was named on the All-Star list.
Kim Hae-ran was selected as an All-Star for the 14th time in his personal career, and along with Hwang Yeon-joo (Hyundai E&C) became the most selected All-Star player in history.
In the men’s division, Korean Air setter Han won 95,970 votes to participate in his 11th All-Star Game.
If Han is selected for the All-Star two more times in the future, he will be on par with Hyundai Capital’s playing coach Yeo Oh-hyeon (13 times), who set the record for the most all-star selections in men’s history.
Fan voting for the V-League All-Star Game was held online through the KOVO website for 14 days from the 10th to the 23rd of this month.
The V-League All-Star Game will be held on the 23rd of next month at Pepper Stadium in Gwangju, the home stadium of the new team Pepper Savings Bank.
