Former Dongyang University professor Jeong Kyung-shim, who is being tried and detained on charges of corruption in the child’s entrance exam, has been identified as being hospitalized.

According to the Ministry of Justice, Professor Jeong was admitted to an outside hospital on the 24th (24th) after attending a trial on charges of corruption in the entrance examination held at the Seoul Central District Court with her husband, former Justice Minister Cho Kuk.

When Professor Jeong arrived at the detention center and was moving to the living room, he suddenly collapsed and hit his head and back on the floor.

The Seoul Detention Center saw that external treatment was necessary and transferred Professor Jeong to an external hospital, and had him be hospitalized according to the opinion of the specialist that examination and treatment were necessary.

The Ministry of Justice said, “According to my doctor’s refusal to inform outsiders, including my family, I only notified my family of the hospitalization on the 26th.” We will do our best,” he said.

However, visits to family members including former Minister Cho are limited.

This is because the Ministry of Justice does not allow visits of inmates in correctional facilities and outside hospitals due to the Corona quarantine issue.

Meanwhile, on the 24th, part 21-1 of the Criminal Settlement of the Seoul Central District Court (Chief Judges Ma Seong-young, Kim Sang-yeon, and Jang Yong-beom) said that it was not legal to secure evidence by the prosecution. decided not to accept it as evidence.

The prosecution filed an objection to this, saying that the court misunderstood the judgment of the Supreme Court.

Previously, Professor Jeong was indicted on 15 counts, including obstruction of business, use of forged documents, and violation of the Capital Market Act, and was sentenced to four years in prison in the first and second trial.

Professor Jeong and the prosecution both appealed against the judgment of the appeals court.
