At least 6 killed in boiler explosion at factory in northern India

At least six people were killed in a boiler explosion at a food factory in northern India today (26th) local time, local media reported.

According to reports, the explosion occurred this morning at a noodle manufacturing plant in the Mujafarpur district of Bihar province.

At least six people were killed and more than 12 people were injured in the blast, officials said, and the death toll could rise.

Local media reported that the sound of the explosion at the time of the accident was so strong that it could be heard from about 5 km away.

The cause of the accident is still unknown.

In India, there are many industrial facilities that do not have proper safety facilities or are built illegally, so factory fires and explosions occur frequently.

In 2019, an explosion at an illegal firecracker factory in northern Punjab killed as many as 23 people.

In Maharashtra, more than 20 people and more than 8 people were killed in chemical plant explosions in August 2019 and January last year, respectively.
