Tattoo for dead designer friend Abloh
Drake was hard hit by the death of his friend Virgil Abloh. Now he wears the late designer on his skin forever.
World star Drake (35) paid his last respects to designer Virgil Abloh (1980-2021), who died in November, with a special sign. One of the forearms will be adorned with an iconic picture of Abloh that was created during Paris Fashion Week 2018 and shows the designer from behind throwing a wind kite down the catwalk. The tattoo artist posted the picture and wrote about it: “A memory of the great Virgil Abloh, immortalized on Drake.”
To do this, he linked the star, who also “liked” the picture. Drake had been badly hit by the death of his good friend. In response to the news that Abloh died of cancer at the age of only 41, he wrote about a month ago: “My plan is to touch the sky for you 1,000 times … I love you forever, brother. Thank you for everything.” Other stars who expressed their condolences on social networks were Kanye West (44), Justin Timberlake (40) and model Hailey Bieber (25), to name just a few.
