In an interview with RTL, a few days after the baby news, the couple spoke in more detail about the past few weeks. After the professional dancer contracted Corona in October, he also transmitted the virus to his pregnant wife. Nina then felt a pull, “every five minutes!”, She explains. For her midwife it was an alarm signal, Nina had to go to the hospital to have her baby’s heartbeat checked.

The next day the situation became serious. When the patient was examined again, the CTG sounded the alarm. The result: Vinokurov’s son had to be fetched by emergency caesarean section in the 33rd week of pregnancy.

Evgeny and his Nina were separated from their newborn son for eight days

Then, according to the parents, the most difficult time began for them. Since both were still in quarantine due to the infection, they were initially not allowed to go to their Nio. “We couldn’t see our son for about eight days after the birth because we still had to stay in quarantine. That was really bad,” says Nina. In addition, her son had to be transferred to another hospital because the best possible care could be guaranteed there.
