Yoo Dong-gyu, Kim Man-bae, Nam-wook, and Jeong Young-hak’s ‘Daejang-dong Four’ trial begins tomorrow
The first preparatory procedure for the trial will be held tomorrow (6th) by Yoo Dong-gyu, former head of the planning division of Seongnam Urban Development Corporation and Hwacheon Daeyu officials, who were handed over to trial in the Daejang-dong development case.
The 22nd Criminal Settlement Division of the Seoul Central District Court will open the first trial preparation date tomorrow at 3 pm against Yoo, former general manager, Kim Man-bae, a major shareholder of Hwacheon Daeyu, Nam-wook, and Jeong Young-hak, an accountant.
Former general manager Yoo is accused of colluding with Mr. Kim to drive at least 65.1 billion won in housing site development dividends and at least 117.6 billion won in implementation profits to Hwacheon Daeyu, thereby inflicting damage to the construction company.
In the process, former general manager Yoo received a bribe worth 500 million won from Mr. Kim and 352 million won from lawyer Nam and accountant Jeong, and promised to separately receive 70 billion won of the profits from the Daejang-dong development project. He is also charged.
Prosecutors indicted former general manager Yoo on the charge of bribery on September 21, followed by an additional charge of breach of trust on October 1.
Then, on October 22, Mr. Kim and lawyer Nam were arrested and indicted without detention.
Considering that they are accomplices, the court decided to combine the cases and hear them.
