Guido Maria Kretschmer gets to know a “completely different Gaga”
Guido Maria Kretschmer talks about the unknown side of the pop diva, whom he has just interviewed surprisingly.
He just couldn’t pass up the opportunity. When designer Guido Maria Kretschmer, 56, was asked if he would like to interview Lady Gaga, 35, about her leading role in the “House of Gucci” film, he didn’t have to think twice. After all, Guido has been a Gaga fan for years.
Guido Maria Kretschmer: In the interview, he gets to know the pop diva from her unknown side
“It was just great to see her live and to talk to her”, Guido sums up very animatedly after his virtual meeting with the pop diva opposite GALA. “She was perfectly styled, but she seemed almost shy while she was talking. That was a really exciting observation because she is usually extremely extroverted. And you could think that she is always loud and dashes forward.”
In preparation, the star designer was allowed to see “House of Gucci” in advance
The interview was initiated by Universal-Filmverleih, which is currently bringing “House of Gucci” to German cinemas. In preparation, Guido Maria Kretschmer was allowed to see the drama about the famous Italian fashion clan in advance – and is thrilled.
Gucci is part of my fashion DNA as a fashion designer.
“I followed the rise of the house with great interest, especially in the 1990s,” said the “Shopping Queen” star. And adds: “Lady Gaga plays Patrizia Reggiani, who marries the head of the Gucci clan, brilliantly. And the unbelievably great looks she wears in the film are really impressive.”
One outfit of the “A Star Is Born” actress is particularly fond of Guido
Lady Gaga herself loves spectacular outfits too. Is there one thing that sticks in the designer’s mind? Guido doesn’t have to think twice: “Your Kermit costume by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. I’ll never forget that.” In 2009 the singer made headlines around the world.
“Kermit is an icon of the 20th century and Lady Gaga is undoubtedly too,” says Guido. I’m sure the singer likes to hear that.
