Figure skating swimmer wins Olympic first round


South Korean figure skating singles player Yoo Young won the first round of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

In the women’s single free skating competition held at the indoor ice rink in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi-do, KB Financial Group’s men’s and women’s figure skating president’s cup ranking competition and Beijing Winter Olympic National Team 1st preliminary round, Yoo Young-eun had a technical score of 71.68 and an artistic score of 66.88 and a deduction of 1 point. , with a total score of 137.56.

Yooyoung’s short program score of 71.03 points totaled 208.59 points, beating 2nd place Kim Ye-rim (205.82 points) and 3rd place Yoon Ah-seon (200.97 points).

Yooyoung aims to secure a place in the Olympics through the second round of the national figure skating championship and national team selection, which will be held from the 8th to the 9th.

Korea has secured two quarters for the women’s singles Olympic Games, and the results of the first and second rounds are added up, and the top 1st and 2nd place athletes will participate in the Beijing Olympics.

Yoo Young, Kim Ye-rim, and Hae-in Lee, who took 6th place, also won the ISU 4 Continents Figure Skating Championships at this event.
