5,128 new confirmed cases, around 5,000 for the fifth day… 744 severe cases, 43 deaths

The Central Quarantine Countermeasures Headquarters announced that as of 00:00 on the same day, the number of confirmed cases increased by 5,128, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 473,000.

The number of new confirmed cases decreased by 224 from the previous day (5,352), but on weekends, the number of tests generally decreases and the number of confirmed cases also tends to decrease.

Rather, compared to 3,925 confirmed cases last Saturday (Sunday 28th as of the announcement date), 1,203 more people, and today is the first time that the number of confirmed cases in the 5,000 range as of Saturday.

The number of new confirmed cases in Korea has been counting around 5,000 for five consecutive days since the first surpassed 5,000 on the 1st (5,123).

The number of deaths from COVID-19 was 43, and the number of critically ill patients was 744, down 8 from the previous day.

The number of patients with severe cases recorded 700 people for five consecutive days (723 → 733 → 736 → 752 → 744) from the 1st.

The number of infected with Omicron mutation, a new mutant virus of COVID-19, also increased by 3, bringing the total to 12.
