Prosecutors investigating the Daejang-dong development preferential treatment summoned former special prosecutor Park Young-soo, who is suspected of a ‘5 billion won club’, to investigate. Former special prosecutor Park and his relatives are suspected of receiving money and valuables from businesses in Daejang-dong. The daughter of former special prosecutor Park became controversial after receiving an apartment sold by Hwacheon Daeyu at a lower price than the market price in June of this year. Former Special Prosecutor Park served as an advisor to Hwacheon Daeyu Asset Management (Hwacheon Daeyu) from April 2016 to November of the same year, and his daughter also worked for Hwacheon Daeyu. At the beginning of the Daejang-dong project, Mr. Lee, the representative of a sales agency, a relative of the former special prosecutor, received 2 billion won from the CEO of a civil engineering company in the name of solicitation for a business right in Daejang-dong.
