Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung went to Honam, the Democratic Party’s garden, to capture the hearts of the people.
Candidate Lee will visit every corner of Honam for 4 days 3 nights from today (26th) to 29th as the third schedule of ‘Mata Bus (minsaeng bus rides every week)’.
For the first time since announcing a full-scale renewal of the presidential election, he will ‘all-in’ in Honam, the heart of the Democratic Party, and declare a new start as the ‘Lee Jae-myung Democratic Party’, and show his will to draw solidarity with the supporters of the Democratic Party.
Candidate Lee first started his Honam schedule in Mokpo, the ‘political hometown’ of the late President Kim Dae-jung.
Candidate Lee, who gave an impromptu speech at the Mokpo Dongbu Mayor this morning, actively wooed the Honam people, saying, “Without Honam, there is no Democratic Party.”
He continued, “Korea’s democracy and reform owe Honam. Honam will continue to take responsibility so that history does not retreat backwards.” “This country will return to the past,” he appealed.
Candidate Lee will move to the helicopter apron dedicated to emergency medical care in Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do this afternoon to continue the ‘people’s neighborhood’ schedule.
In the evening, at a camping site in Haenam, Jeollanam-do, we meet and have a candid conversation with office workers in their 30s.
Candidate Lee will visit the Jangheung Saturday Market in Jeollanam-do tomorrow (27th) to meet market merchants and hold a ‘national neighborhood’ with farmers in Gangjin, Jeollanam-do.
Then, they moved to Yeosu and Suncheon, Jeollanam-do, announced the port promotion policy, and walked along the Romantic Pocha Street, a tourist attraction in Yeosu, to examine the public sentiments of the young people who visited the area.
The 28th and 29th were filled with the Gwangju schedule.
We start our schedule by attending the Gwangju Yanglim Church worship service and meet the citizens by visiting the Songjeong Oil Market in Gwangju.
On the afternoon of the 28th, the inauguration ceremony of the ‘Gwangju Great Transformation Election Committee’ will be held at the Gwangju Kimdaejung Convention Center.
The Gwangju Regional Election Committee composed 9 out of 10 joint election chairpersons in their 20s and 30s to forward the youth.
On the 29th, the D-100th day of the presidential election, a meeting of the National Election Committee will be held in Gwangju.
Then, the Honam schedule ends by listening to the voices of university students in Gwangju and Jeonnam at Chosun University and finally listening to the public opinion at Yeonggwang Terminal.
Lee’s wife, Kim Hye-kyung, is also expected to join the Honam schedule and add strength to the bottoming of the public mind.
