Koo Bon-hwan, former president of Incheon International Airport Corporation, who was dismissed due to poor response to typhoons, won the first trial in an administrative lawsuit asking to cancel the dismissal.

The Seoul Administrative Court today (26th) ruled in favor of the plaintiff in a lawsuit against the president to cancel the dismissal of former president Koo.

Former president Koo left the chief of staff on the day of the national audit in October 2019 to prepare for a typhoon, but controversy arose when it was revealed that he had used a corporate card at a meat restaurant near his house away from Incheon International Airport.

Afterwards, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport proposed the dismissal of President Koo, and at the end of September last year, President Moon Jae-in approved the dismissal plan.

In response, former president Koo filed an administrative lawsuit in October last year, claiming that the inspection by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport was illegal.
