The ancient Egyptians loved fashion and accessories, and although the style of clothing was simple, it was elegant and made with great care, giving them their “clothing style” a unique cultural appearance in history.

The ancient Egyptians designed their clothes to be lightweight to suit the country’s hot climate. Most of them were made of vegetable fibers or linen. However, the question that always arises is how the ancient Egyptians adapted to their summer clothes during the winter, as it appeared on the walls of temples and paintings.

Dr. Mustafa Waziri, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, answered the question during his meeting with the media, Heba Al-Abasiri on the CBC channel, saying that ancient Egypt had a climate that varied between the four seasons of the year, and also confirmed that the pharaohs recognized wool and linen and wore them, but they did not They record this in their inscriptions on the walls of temples and obelisks.

He added that the ancient Egyptian believed in the existence of life after death and resurrection, and believed that the soul would identify him later through his name and his mummy, his statue and the inscription of his body on the ancient walls.

Therefore, the engraving of kings and others on the walls came with the body as naked as possible, and he wore everything that was slippers, so that the soul could identify him in the afterlife, as if the ancient Egyptian was making his mark with his whole body.
