King Willem-Alexander: He’s flying soccer fans to Prague
He usually sits at the conference table with heads of state and government, but this time he has swapped his seat for a cockpit: On a KLM scheduled flight from Amsterdam to Prague, King Willem-Alexander flew fans of the Feyenoord football club to the Czech capital – and with it caused a huge surprise. After landing, the passengers were amazed when they found out who their royal co-pilot was. Of course, the Dutchman also took time to take photos together. And one thing is certain: regardless of the result of the Conference League game at Slavia Prague, the trip will already be unforgettable for the football fans on the plane.
The King of the Netherlands obtained his pilot’s license in 1987. In order not to lose his license, he regularly flies scheduled flights for the airline KLM. Even when traveling on state visits, King Willem-Alexander often sits at the controls of the government aircraft on outward flights.

Princess Sofia incognito as a helper in the hospital
During the first wave of the corona pandemic, Princess Sofia, 36, decided to work as a volunteer at Sophiahemmet Hospital in Stockholm to relieve the nursing staff. In the newly published book “Ställa upp: Det stora Beredskapslyftet” (Eng. The starting position: The big leap into readiness) by author Annica Triberg, the Rector of the Sophiahemmet University tells of the selfless commitment of the Swedish Royal, which incidentally waived her title .
“On Thursday, April 16, 2020, Princess Sofia arrived as a student at the Sophiahemmet. She wore white trousers, a blue tunic and just as sturdy shoes as the other participants,” recalls Johanna Adami. “During her time in the hospital, where she volunteered in various care units, she became ‘Sofia’.” Prince Carl Philip’s wife, 42, worked two days a week on various wards of the clinic, cleaning, disinfecting, helping in the kitchen and taking care of the patients. “Seldom have I been so impressed to see the healthcare system from the inside, meet patients myself and experience safe, well-trained nurses in action,” said Sofia, who worked at the hospital until a few weeks before the birth of her son Prince Julian in March 2021 . Having the opportunity to help during this difficult time is “extremely rewarding”.

Princess Victoria: Musical visit with daughter Estelle
A special evening for Crown Princess Victoria, 44, and her daughter Princess Estelle, 9: The two of them enjoyed an evening at the theater at the Intiman Theater in Stockholm at the weekend. The program featured the Broadway musical “Annie”, which is about an orphan girl in New York in the 1930s.
While mother and daughter were very happy, those involved in the musical were very excited to welcome two real princesses into their home. The theater proudly posted a photo together with the words: “Yesterday we had a visit from Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Estelle with friends who saw our wonderful musical Annie. Thank you for the visit!”
Estelle looks particularly happy in the photo. She smiles at the camera with a smile on her face. In 2018, the nine-year-old princess attended a theater course herself at the renowned “Calle Flygare Teaterskola” theater school in Stockholm, where she learned acting techniques that can also benefit her in her role as the future heir to the throne.
