A church pastor in his 60s who forcibly molested a female member for years has been sentenced to prison.

Today (25th), Part 13 of the Uijeongbu District Court Criminal Agreement sentenced a pastor in his 60s to 3 years in prison for violating the Act on the Protection of Children and Youth (forced molestation).

In addition, he ordered the completion of 80 hours of sexual violence treatment program and restrictions on employment at child and youth-related organizations and welfare facilities for the disabled for 5 years.

Mr. A has been the pastor of a church in northern Gyeonggi since the 1990s, and the three victims also attended the church where Mr. A was the pastor from the same time with their families.

Mr. A, who has been recognized as the highest authority in the church, was like a devil to the female members of the church.

Forced molestation continued, such as holding hands and forcibly hugging or kissing the face by creating a situation where the two of them were alone.

Person A continued to molest the victim B, who refused physical contact, saying, “You have to make an effort to like it.”

It was also investigated that A was forced to kiss victim C, who refused physical contact by saying, “I do not kiss my real father.”

Such harassment has continued over 20 years over the years.

It is reported that the victims have been attending Mr. A’s church for a long time with their families, so they have been unable to disclose their situation for a long time because of concerns about damage to their families.

Then, as a female church member began to complain about the victim, she found out that there were other victims.

In order to prevent further damage, Mr. A filed a complaint with the police and eventually stood in court.

In the courtroom, Mr. A said, “There is no fact of molesting the victims. The fact of accidentally or accidentally kissing the victim’s cheek is a routine practice in the church, and it is only a mutually implicitly agreed level of physical contact, so it is not forced harassment.” claimed.

However, the court said, “The defendant, a pastor of the church, in a place where he and the victims were alone, hugged the victims to the extent that they were completely in close contact with each other and kissed his mouth or cheek. In light of that, the quality of the crime is bad.”

“The crime period is quite long and the scale of the crime is very large,” he explained.
