Kim Jong-yang, president of Interpol, resigns… UAE Police Commissioner to succeed


Kim Jong-yang, president of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), has resigned after a three-year term. The National Police Agency announced on the 26th that the 89th Interpol General Assembly held in Istanbul, Turkey from the 23rd to the 25th (local time) was President Kim’s last official schedule. The chief of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Alaysi, was elected as the new head of the country. After competing with the deputy head of the Czech Republic’s Habranchova Police Agency for the election of all member states, Alaish was elected.
