Former Ulsan manager Cho Min-guk was appointed as the new head coach of the Ansan Greeners in the second division of professional football.
Ansan club announced today (25th) that they have appointed coach Jo Min-guk as the team’s commander from the 2022 season and signed a two-year contract.
Ansan, who finished 7th in the 2021 season with 11 wins, 10 draws and 15 losses, is preparing for a rebound with coach Jo Min-guk.
Former manager Cho Min-guk, who played as a defender in the 1986 World Cup in Mexico and the 1990 World Cup in Italy, has since built up his coaching career as a manager at Korea University.
He took on Ulsan Hyundai Mipo Shipbuilding in the National League of National League and led the combined championship twice, and made his debut as a professional leader by being appointed as Ulsan Hyundai coach ahead of the 2014 season.
Coach Jo, who is returning to the professional stage after 8 years, said, “I will become a coach that I enjoy with the players and I will create a strong team that can compete for promotion as a ‘one team’.”
