Germany has over 100,000 deaths from coronavirus

Germany’s COVID-19 death toll has crossed 100,000.

On the 25th, AFP reported that the cumulative number of deaths from COVID-19 in Germany was 101,119, citing statistics from the Robert Koch Institute, the German Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

With this, Germany becomes the fourth country in Europe with more than 100,000 deaths from COVID-19 after the UK, Italy and France.

The weekly infection rate is also the highest at 419.7 per 100,000 people, raising concerns that it may be a burden on the new government to be launched next month.

Germany’s vaccination rate is about 69%, which is low compared to other European countries.

According to AFP statistics, in Europe last week, more than 2.5 million people were confirmed and about 30,000 people died from Corona 19, and Europe was the hardest hit by Corona 19.
