On the US talk show “The Tamron Hall Show”, Princess Märtha Louise and Durek Verrett gave their first love interview – and talked about thoughts of separation and the loss of friendships caused by their controversial relationship.

It is their first joint interview that Princess Märtha Louise, 50, and her partner, shaman Durek Verrett, 47, gave on US television. On November 16, 2021, the couple appeared on the love talk show “The Tamron Hall Show” (which aired on November 19) – and spoke more openly than ever about their controversial relationship. They have been criticized since the beginning of their love.

Princess Märtha Louise lost a number of friendships

But the daughter of King Harald, 84, and Queen Sonja, 84, are happy with Durek and want to build a new life with him in America. The move is already being planned, and their daughters Maud Angelica, 18, Leah Isadora, 16, and Emma Tallulah, 13, from her marriage to Ari Behn, † 47, should come along. Maybe that’s why the couple is talking about their love on American TV, of all places. But the topics are by no means pink …

In the ten-minute conversation with moderator Tamron Hall, despite holding hands and looking lovingly, things got down to business very quickly. First Hall wanted to know how it felt for Märtha Louise to be able to write the story of their love by now instead of having to read about it in the media. The princess confirmed that she and Durek would deliberately go public on social media in order to be able to influence the reporting, instead of being its passive victim.

And one more thing is likely to have stabbed Märtha in the heart because of her love for shaman Durek. In response to Tamron Hall’s direct question as to whether Märtha had to exclude people from her life because of the relationship, she answers in a remarkably short manner: “There were, um, yes, some.” The princess confesses that there is one “shocking situation” that it would have come to after such a revelation. “I must […] let go and forgive and continue to love this beautiful and fantastic man “, explains Märtha and looks deep into Durek’s eyes

“You know, when you go through life as a dark-skinned person, […] as a shaman, then a lot of people don’t like that. A lot of the messages I got from people all over the world said that they didn’t want us together. “Durek himself has ancestors from Norway, India and Haiti.

Märtha Louise said, crying, to Durek that he could leave her if he wanted

According to the Daily Mail, the 47-year-old even admitted that the public outcry over his relationship with the princess was so great that Märtha Louise, crying, told him to leave her if it was too much for him. But he didn’t. He stayed with her – maybe because they are both soul mates? At least that’s what they say about each other. The Norwegian princess said she felt an immediate spiritual connection: “When I met Durek, it was like finding an old friend again.”

This bond helped the couple to survive their month-long separation during the corona pandemic. During this time, they talked a lot on the phone to get through the breakup.
