In front of Chun Doo-hwan’s funeral, a 20-year-old asks, “Why don’t you apologize?”

Ahn Chung-won (20), who heard the news that Chun Doo-hwan had passed away on the 23rd, bought a ticket for KTX Seoul from Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do. He held a one-man protest in front of the funeral hall of Sinchon Severance Hospital in Seoul, where Jeon’s empty room was prepared from 5 pm that day. In the sketchbook Ahn brought with him, the phrase ‘Those who do not reflect are not worth living’ were written on them. Ahn was sent to martial law in May 1980.
