Chun Doo-hwan dies at the age of 90 left without an apology

The man who trampled on democracy and bloody suppressed the people in the modern history of Korea passed away today (23rd). Chun Doo-hwan, who served as the 11th and 12th president, was found dead at home this morning. At 8:55 this morning, the police received a report that Chun Doo-hwan collapsed in the bathroom at his home in Yeonhui-dong.

The police, who arrived at the scene, finally confirmed that Jeon died at 8:45 in the morning.

Born in 1931, at the age of 90, Jeon suffered from Alzheimer’s and multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer.

His wife Lee Soon-ja and his sons Jae-guk and Jae-yong stayed by the body of Jeon at their home, and accomplices in the 12/12 military coup, including former safety planning department chief Jang Se-dong and former 3rd Army commander Ko Myeong-seung, visited the house after hearing the news of the death of Jeon.

Jeon’s side said that he wanted to be buried in front of North Korea as a practical will during his lifetime.

Chun’s burial place has been set up at the funeral hall of Severance Hospital from the afternoon.

Former President Jeon, who was convicted of the 12/12 military uprising and the bloody suppression of the 5/18 Gwangju Democratization Movement, has been deprived of all respect for the president.
