Comprehensive real estate tax notices have been sent out this year. The number of people who have to pay the estate tax this year is 950,000, a significant increase from last year. The total amount was 5.7 trillion won, of which about 90% was imposed on multi-family houses and corporations.

Today (the 22nd), the first news reporter Jo Ki-ho will deliver.

This year, 947,000 people received comprehensive real estate tax bills for houses.

About 2% of the total population and about 6.4% of those who own their own house.

The notified tax is 5.7 trillion won.

Compared to last year’s 667,000 people and 1.8 trillion won, both the number of people and the amount increased significantly.

There are 485,000 people with multiple houses with two or more houses, or more than half, and the property tax they have to pay accounts for 2.7 trillion won, which is about half of the total tax amount.

Corporations also eliminated basic deductions and upper tax burdens, resulting in a nearly four-fold increase in target and tax amount compared to last year.

When multi-family houses and corporations are combined, it amounts to about KRW 5 trillion, which accounts for 90% of the total tax amount.

In particular, the tax burden on multi-family dwellings in regulated areas increases sharply.

If you own an apartment with a market value of 2.6 billion won and a house with a market price of 2.7 billion won in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, the tax amount exceeds 58 million won.

One homeowner per household will have to pay 200 billion won, equivalent to 3.5% of the total tax amount.

The tax collected as a tax is used as a financial resource for local governments for balanced regional development.

If your tax exceeds 2.5 million won, you can apply to the National Tax Service and pay it over 6 months.

You can check the notified tax amount on Hometax, and the postal bill will be delivered around the middle of this week.

The deadline for reporting and payment is from the 1st to the 15th of the next month.
