Today (18th) at 8:40 in the morning, the 2022 school year SAT exams started at 1,300 test centers across the country.

A total of 509,000 test takers who were in high school and sophomore in high school under the Corona situation applied for this exam.

According to the Ministry of Education, there were 452,000 applicants for the first period, and the absenteeism rate was 10.8%, down 2.4% from last year.

Of these, 96 confirmed COVID-19 test takers are taking tests at hospitals and living treatment centers.

A total of 128 self-quarantine test takers were placed in a separate test center due to fever and cough symptoms.

As the Ministry of Education asked for restraint, the usual cheering match in front of the school has disappeared.

The students entered the exam hall with the support of their families in a calm atmosphere.

Some of the late examinees rode police cars and motorcycles to the test center.

Candidates are required to wear a mask throughout the exam and the use of water purifiers is prohibited, so they can only drink the water they have prepared.

The exams will all be over at 5:45 PM after a while.

The SAT Examination Committee said, “We have maintained the standard of questions asked for the previous year.”

He emphasized that he tried to minimize the possibility of disadvantages among examinees by reflecting the level of test takers for each elective subject in Korean and Mathematics, which was determined through the results of the mock evaluation conducted in June and September.
