Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are reportedly not coming to Sandringham for Christmas to celebrate with the Queen.

Prince Harry, 37, and Duchess Meghan, 40, will reportedly not travel to Great Britain for Christmas. At least that’s what “Page Six” claims. The New York Post celebrity site reports the couple have been invited to join the rest of the Sandringham royal family. The reason for the cancellation was allegedly that they wanted to avoid press reports about their visit.

According to an insider, according to “Page Six”, the planning of the royal Christmas party was a big effort, “so the employees of course know that Harry and Meghan are not coming”. If they wanted to come, “they would have told their family by now,” the anonymous source said. Since this is the first Christmas of Queen Elizabeth II (95) without her husband Prince Philip (1921-2021), it was hoped “that they would want to be with her”. Prince Philip died in April at the age of 99.

Harry and Meghan already missed the past parties

The Queen is usually visited by her family on the festive season at her Sandringham estate. Prince Charles (73), Duchess Camilla (74), Prince William (39) and Duchess Kate (39) then go to worship with the monarch, among other things.

Harry and Meghan were last at the Christmas party in Sandringham in 2018. Last year, the two announced that they were stepping down from their royal duties. The couple lives in Montecito, California, with their children Archie (2) and Lilibet (5 months).

Harry has been to the UK twice this year: once in April to attend his grandfather’s funeral. And again in July to unveil a statue of his mother, Princess Diana (1961-1997), together with his brother Prince William, in the park of Kensington Palace.
