[월드리포트] Driver drowning in river… The police jumped right in.

A red SUV that has fallen into the river is pulled up by a crane.

A 55-year-old female driver was trapped inside the vehicle, and Officer Todd broke the vehicle’s rear window with a portable vehicle inspection tool.

The car then began to sink rapidly as water poured into the broken window, and the water rose to under Officer Todd’s chin while pulling the driver in the back seat.

To make matters worse, the low water temperature blunted his senses, but after a persistent struggle, Officer Todd managed to rescue the driver.
