The train operation was delayed due to a failure in the electricity supply system of the Suin Line of the metropolitan railway.
KORAIL announced today (13th) that the electricity supply was cut off to the downlink catenary, a device that supplies electricity between Soraepo Station on the Suin Line in Nonhyeon-dong, Namdong-gu, Incheon, and Incheon Station in Bukseong-dong, Jung-gu, around 12:00 noon on the 13th.
As a result of this accident, in the five station sections from Incheon Station to Songdo Station, up and down trains are using one track.
In addition, the interval between trains has been extended from 15 minutes to 20 minutes, causing great inconvenience to passengers.
“The train from Songdo Station to Oido Station is operating normally,” a KORAIL official said.
