‘Di Maria’s winning goal’ Argentina beat Uruguay… mesh replacement input

In the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, South America, the powerful Argentina took a valuable victory in Uruguay and are one step closer to the final stage.

Argentina defeated Uruguay 1-0 with Angel Di Maria’s winning goal in the 7th minute of the Qatar World Cup South American qualifying match at the Estadio Campeon del Siglo in Montevideo, Uruguay.

Paulo Dybala gave the ball away, and Di Maria took the ball from the right inside the penalty area with her left foot and put it in the upper left corner of Uruguay’s goal, and the game was decided.

Argentine striker Lionel Messi, who recently missed two matches at Paris Saint-Germain due to muscle pain in the back of the knee and thigh, was on the bench and was replaced by Giovanni Rosselso in the 31st minute of the second half.

Argentina continued their unbeaten streak with 8 wins and 4 draws (28 points) in 12 matches, maintaining second place behind Brazil (34 points, 11 wins and 1 draw).

Brazil defeated Colombia 1-0 the day before and became the first South American to qualify for the Qatar World Cup, regardless of the outcome of the remaining match.

In the Qatar World Cup South America qualifiers, 10 countries participate in a home-and-away league, and the top 4 countries go straight to the finals.

The fifth-placed team will head to Qatar through an intercontinental playoff.

Chile, Colombia, and Uruguay, who have 16 points side by side, are ranked 4th to 6th by goal difference after Ecuador (20 points), which played one more game, so Argentina is not expected to have any difficulties in advancing to the finals.

Argentina will face Brazil on the 17th in San Juan.
