Jin Air is experiencing delays in ticketing and check-in at airports nationwide due to a computer failure in the passenger system today.

At Jin Air, staff manually issue ticketing at the counter, but the flight departures are delayed one after another, causing great inconvenience to customers.

The check-in desk for domestic flights was crowded with passengers waiting for Jin Air check-in from early morning.

This was in contrast to the recent relatively quiet ticketing counters as ticketing was mainly done using unmanned systems.

Mo (66) Hong and Mo (61) Jeon, who traveled together from Daegu, said, “After finishing our trip to Jeju for 4 days and 3 nights, we were going to board the Jin Air flight to Daegu at 10 am. I’ve been here since 6 am to do it, but I haven’t been able to get a ticket for over 4 hours, and I’ve been standing all the time, to be honest, I’m so annoyed that I’m going to die.”

They said, “We are waiting in line for each other because our legs hurt.” “Even if the ticket is issued within today, it is not certain what time the flight will depart or whether the flight will actually depart at that time. Will I be able to go home? I don’t know,” he said.

“I was going to go to Seoul to attend the event, but I think I will have to give up,” said Kang Mo (57), a local citizen.

All Jin Air employees were mobilized for ticketing, but since ticketing was done manually, it took nearly an hour to complete the check-in process for one flight.

The status of the Jin Air flight exposed on the domestic departure board was only ‘delayed’ or ‘undecided’.

All ticket reservations and reservations have been suspended on the Jin Air website for an emergency system check.

In this regard, a Jin Air official said, “We will finish the restoration work as soon as possible so that it can be restored to normal.”
