Lee Jae-myung “Virtual asset taxation postponed by one year”… First diplomatic step between the US and China
Democratic presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung said at a youth meeting that he would defer tax on virtual assets for a year. Candidate Lee also met with the US Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia and the Pacific and the Chinese ambassador to Korea one after another to take diplomatic steps.

At a meeting that invited young people on the topic of the future of virtual assets, Democratic presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung said that it is right to suspend taxation as a different approach to virtual assets is needed.
It hinted at a one-year delay in the imposition of capital gains tax on virtual assets and a significant increase in the deduction limit.
He also mentioned that Lee Jae-myung would be different and differentiated from the current government.
