Ulsan petrochemical complex factory fire… Evolution in 50 minutes

Today (6th) around 8:50 a.m., a fire broke out at the Daehan Petrochemical Plant in Bugok-dong, Nam-gu, Ulsan.

The fire department put out the fire in about 50 minutes after receiving the report by putting in about 70 personnel and 20 equipment.

Fortunately, no one was reported to have been injured.

The fire department is investigating the exact circumstances of the fire, focusing on the possibility that a part of the volatile liquid ‘normal hexane’ leaked and caught fire during the refining process.
